Not trying to sound like a dick, but why do people make dramatic farewell topics when they'll only be gone for a little bit? Unless you're saying he's going to permanently cancel the internet.. which wouldn't make much sense.

From earlier posts, we can infer that it's for a significant amount of time.
As for why, I believe it can be summed by two words, "Asian parent(s)."

my dad is "supposedly" going to cancel the internet, so i'm just making my farewells now

I still don't see the point to hiatus threads.

You've probably already communicated with anyone who actually cares (ie. your friends) about your potential hiatus, rest are people who don't really give much of a damn and would post a bye for politeness sake (ie. empty words).

Unless this is intended as a permanent quit, in which case, however unlikely it is, good on you.

What if she can't contact her friends about it?

If CB forum is the only valid form of communication she has with her friends, then I question the friendship, or at least, the level of commitment shown by said friends toward said friendship.

Eh.. I don't think you understand what he's trying to say. Unless all of her friends are new. Most that would consider someone their friend on a game have them added on some form of chat program, because they want to keep contact with each other and spend time together on something other than CB. Since this is about Nancy, she has plenty of friends here.

Unless she doesn't use any chat programs which would be sorta weird. I mean you'd just sign up to something like Skype to stay in contact? o .o;

Well remember that the threat was the internet would be removed which means skype would be dead too.

uh I don't have a phone guys...the only form of contact i would ever have again is WiFi at school.
I don't have a phone I have an Ipod which was like my phone to me, which I should have mentioned
