I went home to see how my dog was recovering, and found that my mom had adopted a new dog, named Maximus. She then proceeded to drop the bombshell that my dog had died during surgery, 3 weeks back. This made me sad and mad at the same time. At least be honest about it to your son, jeez. That's just low.

| Lucky, lucky individual. It's a lot harder to sever someone completely from your life if you're related to them. EDIT: On a happier note, Paul finally uploaded the pictures of my bike to my DB! They've even been stylishly photoshopped into a neutral background for your viewing pleasure! (actually, I just don't want you to see the shithouse that I live in, but, we'll work with that) Feel free to let your eyes glaze over due to pure awesomeness. - Drool:

| I just found out that my Medi-Cal application has been denied. The culprit: my mother. Again. She's been claiming me as a dependent in order to get a tax write-off.
Could this day get any fucking worse?

You may need to get a lawyer. In any case he should take some form of action because things like these are bound to bite you in the back.

You may need to get a lawyer. There is no way in hell I am going to be able to afford a lawyer, I gave my mom my emergency fund to pay for Raven's treatment. That was ~$2400, down the drain. The only reason I was able to purchase the Kawasaki was because I bought it (new) from a friend whose wife wants him to get rid of it.

| I looked it up. Without taking legal action, you can prevent her from doing it in the future. Here is how: - Try to beat her to the IRS; that is, file before she does. Do it ASAP, next year.
- Prepare your tax return online.
- Do not eFile it. Print it out and sign it.
- Mail it to the IRS with a letter explaining your situation
- Send photocopies that will prove that you didn't live with her or were financially supported by her. (utility bills, receipts for rent, other bills with your name and address on them)
Then, if she does manage to file before you, she'll have to pay back all the money that she got from claiming you as a dependant. Also, telling her that you are doing this may discourage her from even trying.

| Thanks, but I'm way ahead of you. Allie's (<== My girlfriend) brother is a lawyer, something that I had forgotten. One through three are already done, and we're discussing the next step. | |

| I picked up a chocolate bar, today, which is unusual for me. I don't like chocolate; that is, I don't like regular American chocolate.. because it isn't chocolate. The only kind of chocolate bar that I eat is one that has real cacao in it and contains no milk at all.. IE: a dark chocolate bar. So, I got one that looked pretty fancy, it said it had dry roasted edamame in it. I had no idea what edamame was, and now I do. Edamame is just a fancy ass, faggy word for soy beans. What the fuck are soy beans doing in a god damned chocolate bar?.. (fucking hippies.. they're behind this.. I just know it.) | |

| Update: My mom had Raven put down. Just found out from my little sister, who was crying her eyes out over Skype. I didn't have the heart to tell her that Raven was going to get treated. | |

While the thought of getting a new dog is nice, adopting a new family member to replace an old family member just feels wrong.
